Epic Physician Builder Training – Notecraft for Physicians CLN145 (Apr 1 - Sept 30, 2021)
Course Overview
The purpose of this training is to develop the skills to efficiently use Note templates designed by physicians in the electronic medical record, resulting in less bloated notes and improved patient safety.
Elements of Competence
This CME activity has been designed to change learner competence and performance and focuses on the ABMS area of systems-based practice, NAM areas of providing patient-centered care, applying quality improvement, and utilizing informatics.

Intended Audience
This program is intended for physicians in specialty and sub-specialty areas using the Epic EMR in their daily practice.
Learning Objectives
As a result of this training, Physician Builders will be able to:
- Create System Templates shared among everyone in a specialty
- Develop Links that pull key clinical information into a note template
- Employ Rules that will allow Rules-Based documentation and reduce note bloat
