Whole Health Foundational Clinical Series - NWTI

June 30, 2022 to December 30, 2022

The Whole Health Foundational Clinical Series comprises four courses and accompanying Skills Labs, designed to equip providers with essential skills to begin transforming their practice with a Whole Health approach. This intensive, highly practical series of experiences will hone skills that make clinical practice more effective for patients and more satisfying for practitioners. By the end of the series, providers will have the tools they need to shift their clinical visits from informational to transformational through intentional, meaningful conversations, as well as begin implementing systemic changes in their clinical setting.

The series begins with Whole Health Foundations, which empowers clinicians to transform their clinical work by focusing first on provider wellbeing. Then, the courses Practicing Whole Health I, II, and III develop skills that allow clinicians to move beyond our current disease-centered care model to an approach that empowers and equips patients to live full and meaningful lives. The series of courses include opportunities for participants to reflect on their journey and harness lessons learned in order to create systemic change at their facility. The latter is achieved primarily through Skills Lab sessions that support, reinforce, and further advance Whole Health clinical skills.

Our 2-hour Skills Integration Lab are an integral part of the classroom-to-practice learning model. After trying the new Whole Health skills in clinical practice, clinicians reinforce their learning by discussing what’s been working well, as well as challenges and barriers - with experienced trainers to guide the conversation. The Skills Integration sessions have clear objectives, and they introduce new skills to bridge the gap between the 4-hour courses. The intention is to reinforce skills while gradually introducing new strategies in a proven change model.

Intended Audience

All clinicians who are interested in making their clinical practice more effective for patients and more satisfying for themselves.
