Pediatric Surgical Care: Umbilical Hernias
This collaborative learning opportunity will help community general surgeons provide high quality care to pediatric patients. In this course, we will discuss best practices and indications for pediatric umbilical hernia repair. Topics will include timing of repair, indications for urgent repair, pain management and surgical technique. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.

After completing this educational activity, the learner will be able to:
- State the optimal age for repair of asymptomatic umbilical hernias in children.
- Identify indications for early repair of umbilical hernias.
- Discuss the options for non-opioid pain management in children undergoing umbilical hernia repair.

We will be hosting 6-7 sessions on Pediatric Umbilical Hernia Repair across the next few months in order to reach the most providers. Each session will be the same, so you only need to attend once. Please plan to attend one of the session dates above.
