Learning Objectives
After completing this educational activity, the learner will be able to:
- State the optimal age for repair of asymptomatic umbilical hernias in children.
- Identify indications for early repair of umbilical hernias.
- Discuss the options for non-opioid pain management in children undergoing umbilical hernia repair.

American Board of Surgery (ABS)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Surgery's (ABS) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
