Whole Health for Mental Health I - ARISA: 4/19/2022, 12:00-4:00 CT (4 hours)

In this course mental health professionals will explore the power of the Whole Health approach when working with patients with mental health conditions. Providers will move beyond models that treat the mind and body as separate and instead explore integrative and evidence based approaches to mental wellbeing. Clinicians in Whole Health for Mental Health will be able to demonstrate how all areas of the Circle of Health are relevant for mental health. They will learn how to empower patients to take charge of their own mental health by focusing on the power of the mind.

Intended Audience

Mental Health Professionals who are interested in exploring Whole Health, considering how it can be used to improve one’s own health and well-being, and implementing Whole Health into their professional practices.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Apply the self-care areas of the circle of health to mental health conditions
  • Examine evidence-informed use of complimentary and integrative approaches for mental health
  • Explain the lifestyle and treatment interventions that impact brain health
