Learning Objectives

As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will be able to:

  1. Describe factors that contribute to the resurgence of syphilis in Wisconsin and nationwide.
  2. Discuss the challenges for diagnosing and treating syphilis in different demographics.
  3. Summarize the different approaches of clinicians working in different areas of clinical care.
  4. Examine the collaborative relationship between clinicians and other members of the healthcare team including the role of public health in the diagnosis and treatment of syphilis.
