Title:  It's Diabetes, Now What?!

As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners as members of the healthcare team will:

  • Understand the structure of the UW Health Kids Pediatric Diabetes program and the workflow for newly diagnosed patients.
  • Apply core principles of inpatient and early outpatient diabetes education—including insulin dosing, CGM use, and management of highs and lows.
  • Evaluate strategies for supporting families after discharge, including follow-up planning, school needs, activity considerations, and sick-day management.
