Objectives:

  1. Identify anatomy of the shoulder, including muscular origins and insertions, innervation, and blood supply relevant to plastic surgery.
  2. List components of the diagnostic evaluation for thoracic outlet syndrome, with emphasis on physical examination maneuvers and imaging studies.
  3. Recognize and outline treatment strategies for "cording" (axillary web syndrome) and other pathologies impacting the shoulder following breast reconstruction.
