Learning Objectives:

  1. Explore if time-to-prerandomization monthly seizure count design is a viable alternative to a static 12-week maintenance design in clinical trials for epilepsy
  2. Evaluate if computer-aided diagnostic tools (CADT) can guide clinical history to identify patients with functional seizures, otherwise known as psychogenic nonepileptic seizures (PNES)
  3. Analyze if there were differences in interictal scalp EEG without epileptiform findings between patients with functional seizures and epilepsy
  4. Identify structural MRI morphometric associations of functional seizures as compared to seizure-naive controls including those with psychiatric disease
