UWNIL 7th Floor Education Summit Sessions 2026

Overview

This course provides participants with up-to-date education on the latest evidence-based practice initiatives to enhance clinical decision-making and patient care. Learners will explore new, evolving, high-risk, and low-volume practices relevant to their field. The curriculum includes hands-on training in BLS/CPR and AED usage, safe chemotherapy administration and documentation, and the selection and use of appropriate safe patient handling equipment.

Format: Live In-Person

This session is scheduled to be held in person at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital, 401 E. State St., Rockford, IL 61104.

This activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the following competencies:

Intended Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of nurses.

As a result of this activity, participants, as members of the healthcare team will be able to:

  • Demonstrate skills and care related to best practice guidelines for the 7th floor patient population
  • Explain unit-specific requirements and procedures
