UW-NIL: CCU Education Days - November 2025
Overview
This session covers key clinical principles including the management of elevated intracranial hypertension, care strategies for post-surgical open heart patients, case-based learning in organ and tissue donation, and the protocols for massive transfusion of blood products.

Intended Audience
This activity is designed to reach Nurses (RN, APRN).
Learning Objectives
As a result of this activity, participants, as members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Apply concepts for managing intracranial HTN in acute and long-term interventions
- Demonstrate knowledge in the management of OTD cases such as brain death vs. DCD
- Determine the need for MTP and discuss initiation and management
- Identify the standard of care for post op surgical heart patients
