Intended Audience
This activity is designed for psychologists, social workers, physicians, nurses and other interested mental healthcare providers.
Elements of Competence
This continuing education activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties areas of practice-based learning and improvement, and the interprofessional competencies of roles/responsibilities and teams/teamwork.
Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this series, members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Describe the challenges with the pandemic on health care workers.
- Explain the difference between burnout and compassion fatigue.
- Describe approaches to develop and nurture resilience while undertaking challenging work.
- Evaluate the potential benefits of Mindfulness Meditation for practitioner well being and quality of patient care.
- Evaluate and apply the practice of Mindfulness Meditation.
