Learning Objectives

As a result of this educational activity, learners as members of the healthcare team will be able to:

  1. Describe the burden and incidence of osteoporosis in the adult US population
  2. Identify patients who are appropriate for referral to UW Fracture Liaison Service and Orthopedic Bone Health Service
  3. Examine the components of a multidisciplinary treatment approach to address bone health in adults > age 50 with recent a recent fracture or who are in need of major orthopedic surgery.
