Nutrition During Family Emergencies

Nutrition can be a hard, and sometimes confusing, topic for families to tackle even under normal circumstances. This course aims to provide you evidence-based information needed to support your patients by going into more detail on how families can try to maintain a healthy and nutritious lifestyle during times of crisis. 

Learning Objectives

As a result of this educational activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Explore Health and Healthy Eating.
  2. Provide evidence-based responses to parents/families regarding nutrition-related questions.
  3. Describe a healthy meal and snack using evidence-informed principles for energy balance.
  4. Support your patients and their families with solid nutrition information during crises/emergencies.
