Firearm Storage Practices and Pediatric Injury: What is the State of Evidence? - Ali Rowhani-Rahbar, MD, PhD, MPH
Intended Audience
This activity was designed to meet the needs of health care providers who participate in the care of the pediatric and adolescent patients. This includes, but not limited to: MD/DO’s, RN’s, APRN, Residents, Fellows and other Trainees.
Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will increase their ability to:
- Summarize the existing evidence on the risk of firearm injury among youth in relation to firearm storage practices.
- Describe clinical and community-based strategies to promote secure firearm storage.
- Identify multi-pronged solutions to reduce the risk of firearm injury among children and adolescents.
