Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the learner will be able to:

  1. Identify indications for combined heart liver transplant (CHLT) and contrast them to isolated heart and liver transplantations (OHT, OLT).
  2. Describe the transplant and wait list outcomes of the CHLT and contrast them to OLT and OHT outcomes.
  3. Describe immunologic consideration of multiple organ transplant and the implication for graft survival.
