Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will:
- Discuss the association between autism and epilepsy
- Identify some of the leading theories connecting the two conditions
- Evaluate the current available literature on theories of excitation/inhibition imbalance and connectivity
- Summarize the current pathophysiological mechanisms connecting autism and epilepsy
