Objectives:

As a result of this educational regularly scheduled series, learners will be able to:

  1. Discuss the importance of recognizing and diagnosing dementia or cognitive impairment, including implications of failure to do so
  2. Review legal repercussions of a dementia diagnosis
  3. Review current evidence for prevention and treatment of delirium in older adults
  4. Discuss the importance of delirium risk assessment as part of the pre-operative evaluation process
