Objectives:
As a result of this educational regularly scheduled series, learners will be able to:
- Discuss the importance of recognizing and diagnosing dementia or cognitive impairment, including implications of failure to do so
- Review legal repercussions of a dementia diagnosis
- Review current evidence for prevention and treatment of delirium in older adults
- Discuss the importance of delirium risk assessment as part of the pre-operative evaluation process
