Wisconsin Association of Professional Counselors in Higher Education (WAPCHE) Virtual Conference
CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
The annual WAPCHE conference provides University of Wisconsin System (UWS) counseling center staff the opportunity to connect personally and professionally, with a shared vision of supporting student mental health. This year, WAPCHE will have a focus on recognizing, managing, and preventing professional burnout. Sessions will focus on clinical staff member wellness, increased awareness, and development of strategies to make this work more sustainable, and in doing so, will have a positive impact on the students we serve.
INTENDED AUDIENCE
This educational activity is intended for psychologists, social workers, and professional counselors.
ELEMENTS OF COMPETENCE
This continuing education activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the interprofessional competency of teams/teamwork.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Identify signs of burnout and assess personal self-care
- Develop tools to build resiliency and organizational support
- Implement self-care strategies and burnout prevention tools
CONFERENCE FEE
The Conference Fee is $29.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing to help@icep.wisc.edu. Cancellation requests received at least 96 hours prior to the conference will allow a full refund except for the nonrefundable processing fee of $15. No refunds will be made for cancellations received less than 96 hours prior to the activity start date.

State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.
