Vein Treatment in Honduras 2025
Overview
Care of the patient with debilitating venous disease is common in both the United States and in developing settings. This activity will offer education related to the care of patients with this diagnosis by using safe, effective and economical methods of sclerotherapy.
Intended Audience
This educational activity has been designed to meet the needs of physicians who manage patients with venous disease.
Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will:
- Assess leg ulcers for the venous contribution of the pathology
- Describe venous anatomy and the lymphatic relationship to vein
- Explain and apply different treatment modalities, including foam sclerotherapy, in venous treatments
- illustrate ultrasound of the leg anatomy and use of ultrasound in venous disease treatments
