Learning Objectives:

 

  1. Summarize the differences between types of UCL injury
  2. Identify common types of both non-operative and operative treatment options
  3. Explain key differences in UCL repair versus reconstruction
  4. Identify risk factors for upper ulnar collateral ligament injury 
  5. Support the value of upper extremity progressive testing to assist in clinical guidance for proper progressions and activity allowance
  6. Summarize the differences between UCL reconstruction and UCL repair in regards to return to such things as progressive hitting, throwing and pitching in the overhead throwing athlete
