Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to explain the indication for ordering an MRI of the shoulder
  2. Participants will be able to summarize other diagnostic tests available to evaluate the shoulder in addition to the MRI scan
  3. Participants will be able to identify, with respect to specific case examples, why MRI is beneficial or when it isn’t necessary
  4. Participants will recall relative costs of diagnostic studies of the shoulder
