Objectives: As a result of this educational regularly scheduled series, learners as members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Summarize the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on youth and athletes' mental health
- Describe the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of life of collegiate athletes
- Explain potential insight and/or explanation for the cause of change in quality of life
Identify reasons why there is significant improvement in depressive symptoms seen in those with preoperative clinical depression
Discuss the functional outcomes between those with preoperative depression and negative depression
Explain why Preoperative depression should not be a contraindication against hip arthroscopy
