Dr. Justin Endo is an Associate Professor of Dermatology (CHS) and Medicine (Affiliate) at SMPH. In addition to managing adult complex rheumatic skin diseases and specializing in the care of older adults, he melds coaching with faculty development, mentoring and medical education. He is also an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Coaching (McLean Hospital), Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and attending at the Madison VA (William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital). In addition to completing residencies in internal medicine and dermatology, he earned a Master of Health Professions Education degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago. Dr. Endo received his Certified Professional Coach training and additional credentialing in Transitions Coaching through iPEC (the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching). He leads workshops across SMPH and educates physicians about using a coach approach to mentoring; provides coaching services to physician leaders; and was a featured panelist about Coaching and Health Equity on the Institute of Coaching “Coaching Revealed” podcast series. In addition to being a coaching geek, he enjoys watching his two children compete in short-track ice speed skating, eating his son’s culinary creations, and growing orchids.
