Surgery Online Grand Rounds (2025)
Series Overview
The Department of Surgery Grand Rounds features presentations relating to best practices in surgery, teamwork, and groundbreaking clinical research. Grand Rounds features a variety of surgical specialties, in order to best represent the population of clinicians and learners within the department and to broaden surgical knowledge outside of one’s direct specialty. We invite presenters from campus and across the world to provide meaningful learning experiences to members of our department.
Global Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational series, members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Apply new knowledge of surgical research and practice, within and outside the domain pertaining to the participant's surgical specialty.
- Apply new knowledge and skills into values-informed, patient-centered surgery practice.
- Enhance patient care during surgery by contributing to institutional quality improvement efforts, integrating new knowledge, and effectively communicating across various specialties, professions, and clinician teams.
- Discuss the inclusion of diverse backgrounds in treatment discussions within learning environments.
