Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to do the following:
- Perform sentinel lymph node biopsy in eligible patients with cutaneous melanoma of the head and neck in a safe and effective manner
- Understand the evolving role of completion lymph node dissection in patients with sentinel-lymph node metastasis in cutaneous head and neck melanoma
- Recognize the long term melanoma-specific survival benefit demonstrated for eligible patients undergoing sentinel lymph node biopsy as compared to observation
