TITLE: Gift of Life: A Child’s Journey from Biliary Atresia to Liver Transplant *ABP MOC II
Learning Objectives
- Evaluate the direct bilirubin in newborn infants who have been jaundiced for more than two weeks.
- Explain that the presence of a gallbladder on ultrasound in newborns that are jaundiced does not rule out biliary atresia.
- Assess drug-drug interactions when starting a new medication in a post-liver transplant patient – particularly drug interactions with tacrolimus to avoid tacrolimus toxicity.
