TITLE: Sex-testing to Control Binary Sports Eligibility: Can It Be Both Feasible and Fair?

- Discuss the general history of medical testing for eligibility to compete as a female in international sports competitions.
- Describe pitfalls in attempting to define sex solely according to either physical appearance, chromosomes, or gonadal/reproductive anatomy.
- Discuss challenges of distinguishing athletic advantage deriving from genetic disease vs. disorder vs. condition vs. variation vs. “natural” athletic advantage
- Compare arguments for and against the fairness of current rules that disqualify any person who is androgen-responsive and has 46XY chromosomes from competing as a female.
