TITLE: Early Childhood Health Consultation: An Innovative Approach to Support Early Childhood Educators in Meeting the Health and Safety Needs of Children

Learning Objectives:

 

 

  1. Identify an example of a public health initiative that helps address health and safety needs of early childhood care providers within a system that is generally tailored to patients and families.
  2. Utilize a shared decision-making approach when considering exclusion/inclusion due to illness within early childhood care settings between health care professionals, parents/families, and early childhood care providers.
  3. Recommend Early Childhood Health Consultation as a free resource that helps promote health and safety within Wisconsin early childhood care settings and that can be used as a resource for health care providers to indirectly refer early childhood care providers to through parents/families.
