TITLE: My Journey as a Health Advocate

As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners as members of the healthcare team will be able to:

 

 

Identify areas of concern regarding hot water safety when counseling parents or caregivers in the office, including the safe temperature range of hot water heaters and how to ascertain safe bath water temperature.

 

Describe the effect that legislative efforts and laws have had on providing guidance to the community for establishing a protective environment for children and others.

 

Assess the roles that local and national medical organizations can take to inform clinicians and, in turn, parent(s) and caretakers regarding pediatric injury prevention.
