TITLE: Health Equity Rounds: Irreversible Impact of Paternalism when Recommending Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARCs)
As a result of participating in this educational activity, learners as members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Analyze the responses and behaviors health care teams have to clinical scenarios related to sexual and reproductive justice involving historically marginalized populations.
- Examine the historical roots of long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) being disproportionately recommended to historically marginalized individuals.
- Illustrate how recognizing historical trauma can facilitate positive and equitable outcomes.
