  1. Describe the goals of global surgery and the current state of global otolaryngology
  2. Discuss the burden of ENT disease in low- and middle-income countries and the five most common conditions
  3. Discuss the rising interest by residents in global surgery and the benefits of involvement for young surgeons
  4. Introduce example opportunities available for involvement in global otolaryngology, including here at UW
  5. Identify some of the ethical dilemmas involved in global surgery and otolaryngology
