Epic Efficiency Hour: Inpatient Workflows 10:00 AM 2022_05_19
This session examines suggestions to optimize design and use of Inpatient Workflows including the top efficiency tips for managing your patient list, finding information in the chart, navigating Hyperspace, and placing and managing orders in the inpatient setting.
Intended Audience
This activity is designed for physicians who work with the EMR in their practice
Learning Objectives
By participating in this activity learners will be able to:
- Identify efficiency tips to improve workflows such as entering orders, finding information in a patient’s chart, and managing their patient list.
- Describe how personalization features such as favoriting orders, creating a personalized version of an order set, customizing workspaces, tweaking reports, and optimizing patient lists can improve efficiency in the EMR and allow for more efficient patient care in the acute care setting.
- Develop sustainable changes to workflows and system configurations designed to improve specialty-specific efficiencies and patient care.
