  1. Discuss the role of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) in providing advice and guidance to the CDC on most effective means to prevent disease in the United States using vaccines
  2. Describe the memberships of the ACIP committee and workgroups and their roles in developing and voting on vaccine recommendations and how that impacts outcomes for members of the healthcare team.
  3. Identify some of the steps from licensure of a new vaccine by the Food and Drug Agency (FDA) through vote by ACIP on vaccine use to appearance of new recommendations on immunization schedules
