Series Overview

A 1-hour virtual lecture, offering updates in patient care management, review of signs, symptoms, diagnostic tools for medical emergency situations with focus on pre-hospital management. A plethora of lecturers, leaders in their field, will share basic and advanced concepts with review of significant clinical cases that highlight the importance of early recognition, prompt transport to the proper facility and initial management, and how these actions will impact positively in patient's outcome.

Learning Objectives

As a result of participation in this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will increase their ability to:

  1. Identify critical decision points across the emergency response system, including ground EMS, air medical transport, and receiving facilities, that influence patient outcomes in high-acuity trauma.
  2. Analyze how communication and coordination between prehospital and hospital teams impact timing, prioritization, and effectiveness of care.
  3. Apply practical field strategies for recognizing and managing evolving high-risk conditions, including early identification of patients who may require rapid intervention and escalation of care.
