Medical Education Day 2019

The event promises to be a full-day learning and networking opportunity for faculty and staff educators who teach health professional students at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, and across the state of Wisconsin. Sessions will focus on enhancing teaching and learning and celebrate outstanding achievements in teaching.

Intended Audience

This activity is intended for state-wide faculty and staff who teach in undergraduate medical education.  Attendees also include clinical faculty who teach residents and fellows. Target audience includes physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists, faculty from population health sciences, and faculty from genetic counseling.

 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Utilize effective teaching and learning best practices, as well as best practices in assessment and technology for health profession education
  • Network with colleagues who teach at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and across the state of Wisconsin
  • Discuss current and planned SMPH initiatives, programs and innovations
