Series Overview
Liver Didactic addresses key topics in liver disease. Topics range from anatomy and physiology of the liver, common and uncommon diseases of the liver to basics of the liver transplantation process and management. Typically, a GI fellow or, occasionally, a guest speaker will present during these hour-long sessions.
Global Objectives
As a result of participation in this educational series, members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Improve their ability to collaboratively manage liver diseases and care for patients pre- and post- liver transplant.
- Apply practice guidelines that inform the care of patients with liver disease and that address health disparities.
- Demonstrate effective communication with members of the interprofessional healthcare team.
