Series Overview

Target Audience

Physicians, advance practice nurses, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, case managers and dentists who provide care to individuals with HIV infection. The clinician participants include both primary care providers and HIV or infectious disease specialists. The audience includes both UW and non‐UW clinicians and staff.

Elements of Competence

In addition to knowledge, this activity has been designed to change learner competence and focuses on the American Board of Medical Specialties areas of patient care and procedural skills and medical knowledge.

Practice Gaps

HIV treatment is continually changing, with ongoing advances in medical knowledge. At the same time, a significant portion of the population with HIV is aging and facing new co‐morbidities.
