Adrienne Johnson, PhD, is an Assistant Scientist at the UW Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention (UW-CTRI). Johnson received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and philosophy from UW. Using skills she learned while working as a health counselor, Johnson went on to obtain her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Cincinnati, with a focus in health psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and Postdoctoral Fellowship in Women’s Health at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. Dr. Johnson’s research focuses on reducing the negative impacts of smoking and better understanding the role of smoking on brain health.
