  • Define the nonmedical concepts of neurodivergence and neurotypical.
  • Summarize challenges adult neurodivergent patients face in the diagnostic journey and structural obstacles to competent care.
  • Examine the unique psychosocial dynamics of providing genetic counseling services to neurodivergent adult patients, specifically those without formal diagnoses or later in life.
  • Illustrate disability justice-informed genetic counseling skills for working with neurodivergent patients.
