Dr. Lainie Yarris, MD, MCR received her medical degree from Oregon Health and Science University in 2002. She then went on to complete her residency in emergency medicine at OHSU (2005), as well as her fellowship in Emergency Medicine Education Research (2007).
Dr. Yarris joined the Oregon Health and Science University Department of Emergency Medicine faculty in 2005. She currently serves as the OHSU Director of the Emergency Medicine Education Section, and Co-Director of the Emergency Medicine Education Scholarship Fellowship. She is also the Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program.
Her academic areas of interest include promoting education research in academic emergency medicine, feedback in medical education, and faculty development in education scholarship. She is Deputy Editor for the Journal of Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Yarris enjoys spending time with her family, training and competing in triathlons and ultramarathons, and cooking, reading, and knitting.
