Dr. Marian (Emmy) Betz is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the Colorado School of Public Health. She also serves as the Assistant Research Director for     the Department of Emergency Medicine and Core Faculty for the Program for Injury Prevention, Education, and Research (PIPER) and is a co-founder and co-chair of the Colorado Firearm Safety Colalition.

 

Dr. Betz recieved her MD and MPH from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at the Harvard-Affiliated Emergency Medical Residency at Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. She has received numerous awards and  is frequently requested to present on her work and has been featured on TEDxMileHigh (https://youtu.be/PwBgcjDVxxE).
