Annelies De Wulf, MD, MS, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She completed her medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine and her residency in Emergency Medicine at LSUHSC-New Orleans.
At LSU, Dr. De Wulf serves in several key roles, including Associate/Assistant Program Director in the Section of Emergency Medicine and Director of the International Emergency Medicine Division. She is also involved in Social Emergency Medicine as a Violence Prevention Specialist, contributing to initiatives focused on the intersection of healthcare, equity, and social determinants.
Her research centers on emergency care in low-resource settings, with a particular focus on Haiti. She has published work on emergency care capabilities and prehospital care in international contexts, reflecting a strong commitment to improving access and outcomes in underserved populations.
