Series Overview

Each week at Grand Rounds, up to 5 patients are presented with different disease processes.  The participants meet with the patients at the start of Grand Rounds and then gather in the conference room to discuss possible differential diagnoses, review scientific evidence related to diagnoses, and possible treatment options based on individual patient need.

As a result of participation in this educational series, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the morphology of common and uncommon skin diseases.
  2. Apply knowledge of the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, histologic findings, diagnostic tests and treatment approaches of common and uncommon skin diseases to dermatology practice
  3. Develop appropriate clinical differential diagnoses for common and uncommon skin diseases
  4. Explain the foundational scientific principles underlying common and uncommon skin diseases
