Interdisciplinary mock events for staff at the Women & Children's Hospital. Participants will practice emergency response in neonatal, obstetrical and fire emergencies. 

Intended Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and technicians.

Learning Objectives

By participating in this activity learners, as members of the healthcare team, will be able to: 

  1. Discuss ways to lower the risk of fire within the Operating Room.
  2. Demonstrate management of a patient experiencing an obstetric emergency, including hemorrhage and hypertension.
  3. Demonstrate NICU admission process for a premature baby less than 32 weeks gestation. (NICU only)
  4. Apply appropriate resuscitation measures for a neonate in distress.
