UW-NIL: Research Symposium - January 2025
The audience will have the opportunity to learn more about the RSV disease in infants and how to prevent the infection from occurring. Learners will learn how to counsel parents on risks and benefits of RSV. The audience will have an additional opportunity to learn more about sepsis in newborns.

Learning Objectives
By participating in this activity learners, as members of the healthcare team, will be able to:
- Describe the burden of RSV disease in infants in the US and globally.
- Identify the current RSV prevention strategies available with strong emphasis on Niservimab.
- Nurses will utilize the EOS calculator to help reduce the unnecessary use of antibiotics in asymptomatic or low risk newborns.
