Danielle McCarthy, MD is an Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine and serves as the Vice Chair for Research at Northwestern University. Dr. McCarthy completed her medical degree and residency training at Northwestern University, as well as a fellowship in Health Services Research. Her current research focuses on increasing patients' comprehension of their own medical care by examining multiple aspects of health communication in the hectic Emergency Department environment.
