Intended Audience
MD, medical students, PhD (faculty, post-docs) graduate students, Researchers and Scientists, MDPhDs, DO, NPs, PAs, RN, APRN, Psychologists, Faculty and resident specialties including neurology (adult and pediatric neurology, neuropsychology), neurosurgery, neuroradiology, interventional neuroradiology, developmental pediatrics.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Summarize current data on racial disparities among people with MS.
- Explain how social determinants of health act as key contributors to existing disparities.
- Identify opportunities to promote health equity in the MS population using a three-phase model: (1) detecting, (2) understanding, and (3) addressing disparities.
