Learning Objectives
As a result of participation in this online educational activity, members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Discuss types of organ donation consent policies used around the world.
- Analyze existing data on the effect of opt-out versus opt-in consent policies on donation and transplantation rates.
- Examine the potential benefits of and barriers to implementation of presumed consent legislation in the United States.

American Board of Surgery (ABS)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Surgery's (ABS) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS MOC credit.

AAPA Credit Designation Statement
