Paradoxical Vocal Fold Motion (PVFM): From Referral to Resolution - Maggie English, MA, CF-SLP
The target audience for this course includes MD, DO, RN, APRN, and PA.
As a result of this educational activity, members of the healthcare team will be able to:
- Identify triggers and concomitant conditions of paradoxical vocal fold motion to assist with appropriate referral to speech-language pathology.
- Describe the typical evaluation model for paradoxical vocal fold motion disorder at UW's Pediatric Voice and Swallow Clinics.
- Describe the goals of treatment for paradoxical vocal fold motion and at least one recovery maneuver used in treatment.
